Keyboard shortcuts

Move quickly through editing, search, previews, and the desktop companion.

Continuum keeps its shortcut set small and predictable. Cmd means Command on macOS; use Ctrl for the equivalent browser shortcuts on other platforms.

Workspace shortcuts

Cmd/Ctrl + KOpen workspace search
Tab or EnterAccept the active autocomplete suggestion
Cmd/Ctrl + TInsert a subtotal at the current or next line
EscClose transient panels or return a supported preview block to editing
Cmd/Ctrl + EnterOpen or collapse a supported preview

Desktop shortcuts

Cmd + EnterExpand the active Quick Calculation into the full workspace
Cmd + NCreate a fresh quick-calculation draft
EscHide Quick Calculation
Cmd + / Cmd - / Cmd 0Scale Quick Calculation or the focused desktop workspace

Themes and settings

The theme button switches between light and dark modes and stores the choice under the shared Continuum origin. Documentation, workspace, and Quick Calculation therefore follow the same preference. When no choice is stored, Continuum follows the system preference without flashing the wrong theme during startup.

Workspace Settings also controls the floating aggregate, statistic type, line numbers, and Text/Hybrid view. Mobile may override controls that do not fit the compact layout.
